Every book has its own mood that also affects the reader’s emotions as he/she invests in the narrator’s journey. Many readers sip on a glass of Georgia wine while turning the pages of a good book.

The memoir tells Rideau’s moving and inspiring rags to riches story of accomplishing the nearly imposible by a Black woman born into a Creole faily in New Orleans during the Jim Crow era.
